In order to ensure the screw conveyor with adequate stability during operation, it is necessary to do the installed base, making it solid and reliable, to prevent screw conveyors deformation or sinking  in the process.
1.Assembled cabinet shall meet the following requirements:
(1)Longitudinal straightness tolerance of 1/1000 length, full-length straightness tolerance of 3mm.
(2)lateral straightness tolerance for the width of 1/5000.
(3)gap on both sides of the enclosure wall and the screw should be equal between, its tolerance is 2mm, the bottom of the gap tolerance of ± 2mm.
(4)casing joints should be tight fitting, do not have clearance.
(5)should be sufficient contact between the housing and the rack.
(6)Two adjacent the inner surface of the shell, their mutual joints can not be shifted significantly.
2.Axis coincides with the center line of bearing tolerance is 0.5mm.
3.screw machine sections to be safe after all adjustments, then tighten the bolt.
4.The low-speed shaft drive means and screw machine should be in a unified front axle axis.
5.Feed, spout as required site installation, then the whole machine fixed later welding.

How to Select the Suitable Screw Conveyor During the Operation?

1.Conveyor capacity  Screw conveyor conveying capacity refers to the amount of material per unit time.Users should consider whether the conveyor can support the use of other production equipment before design in order to design a reasonable conveyor model.
2.Conveying speed  Conveying speed can improve the transmission capacity. For conveyor which adopts chain as traction, the transporting speed should not be too fast, in order to prevent the power load increasing .
3.Component dimensions  The component dimensions of conveyor includes conveyor trough width or pipe diameter , etc. Which directly affect the transmission capacity of screw conveyor.
4.Conveyor length and inclination Conveyor length and inclination directly affects the total resistance and required power of the conveyor. Screw conveyors installation can be level and inclined, so please let us know the using condition when select the model.

The Maintain Tips of Screw Conveyor

1. Check operating status of screw conveyor components regular when in use, pay attention to fasteners. If any looseness of fasteners, tight screw at once.

2. When beginning feeding by screw conveyor, should increase the feeding speed gradually to reach the rated capacity. Feeding smooth, otherwise there may be blocking in transporting materials and overload of drive device which may cause premature damage of machine.

3. To ensure requirement of non-load start, no feeding before stopping screw conveyor, and it will stop after materials in casing are completely transported.

4. No large size materials to avoid the blocking and damage of screw conveyor.

5. Pay special attention to the screw between connection shaft. If any looseness, falling down or breakage, stop the machine at once and correct it.

6. Don’t remove the cover of screw conveyor when operating to avoid accidents.

7. Add lubricating oil regular for components of screw conveyor.

(1) Reducer should be added HQ-10 lubricating oil, and change oil 3-6 month once.

(2) Bearing boxes on both ends of conveyor should use 5g lithium base lubricating grease  half a month once.

(3) Hanging bearing should use lubricating grease every 3-5 month once.

1.Screw conveyor blockage

Strict enforcement of operation rules, make sure that when the machine start and stop it is no-load and feeding continuous and even or increase the outlet. The reason doing this is that solve the problem of blockage or too late to discharge avoid screw conveyor blockage.

2.Screw conveyor motor burning out

If the incoming material is too large then it will result in the motor loading is too large, the motor will heating and burning out. In order to avoid motor heating result in motor burning out you should keep feeding uniformly and finish the conveying before the machine stop.

3.Screw conveyor gives out too much noise 

If the inner shaft or both axes head occurs bend will caused friction between screw blade and tube wall. The reducer and motor will be burn out if you do not deal with the problem of screw conveyor gives out too much noise immediately.

If you start the screw conveyor occurs problem of excessive noise, you should stop the machine immediately. Then take out the inner shaft of the screw conveyor to check out that whether the spindle nose bend or shaft bend. After confirming the problem then you just need to adjust it.

Common Troubles and Solutions of Screw Conveyor

 1. Connecting bolts are easy to be broken.

Connecting bolts in head section support the torque of load motor of screw conveyor which is composed of several screws. And connecting bolts in middle and tail sections support lower torque. So bolts in head section is easy to be broken.

Solution: Use high-strength bolt in head section, or use three connecting bolts if necessary to ensure the normal operating and avoid the connecting bolts are too short.

2. Hanger bearings are easy to wear.

There are many factors affecting the wear of hanger bearing, such as working environment, conditions, property of conveying materials, structure type of hanger bearing, quality, etc. Especially when hanger bearings are buried in materials in operation, and the sealing and lubrication are not good, it is easy cause that materials enter bearing and shaft neck contact surface and make wear quickly.

Solution: Select bearings with wear resistance and high quality, and ensure good sealing and lubrication to extend the service life of hanger bearings.

3. Screw is broken because of improper installation position of hanger bearing.

Solution: Install hanger bearing which is concentric with connecting shaft, and ensure that all hanger bearings concentricity and keep the coaxility of screws. The hanger bearings should secure connection, and keep a proper gap with connecting shaft to ensure the flexible rotation of screws.

4. Blocking in inlet.

It is easy to occur blocking for materials with strong arch feature, high humidity, big blocks, etc. Especially in the situation of non-uniform feeding.

Solution: Don’t feeding the material non-conformity to the requirement. And keep uniform feeding without beating inlet.

Factors that Affect the Screw Conveyor Conveying Efficiency

The factors are listed as follows:
1.The material has great viscosity and is easy to agglomerate. 
The viscous material is easy to stick on the screw blade and the inner wall of the screw conveyor, which will increase the resistance in the process of conveying, and directly affect the production efficiency.
2.The diameter size of the screw pipe.
Under the same conditions, conveying efficiency of the screw conveyor with larger diameter is higher than the conveyor with small diameter.

3.The dip angle and transportation distance of screw conveyor.
4.The particle size, temperature, moisture, abrasion and corrosion of the material.
